Who we are
Simple Apps is a brand of Técnicas de Inteligencia para Turismo, S.L. (NIF B22722839), Spain, the controller of any data described here. Contact: support@simpleapps.es.
Transbordo
Transbordo shows when the next EMT Madrid buses arrive at a stop.
- No account, no sign-up. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
- Your favourites, alerts and stop schedule stay on your devices: your iPhone, its widgets and, if you use it, your Apple Watch (sent directly between your own devices). We cannot see them.
- Location is optional. If you allow it, it is used on your iPhone only, to put your nearest favourite stop first and show stops around you. Your location is never sent to us. The last known position is kept on your iPhone so widgets can show the nearest stop. To tell you how long the walk to a stop takes, your iPhone asks Apple Maps for a walking route, under Apple’s privacy policy.
- Arrival times come from our server. To get them, the app (and its widgets) sends the stop or line number you ask about — not whether it is one of your favourites — plus a random identifier created when you install the app. It is not linked to you, your device or your Apple Account. We use it only to count how many people are using the app at the same time: it is kept in memory for 5 minutes and never written to disk. All we keep are daily totals (for example, “3 people at the busiest moment”).
- App Attest: only the real app can use our server. App Attest is an Apple service that lets our server check that a request comes from the genuine Transbordo app, unmodified, and not from a script or a copy. Your iPhone (or Apple Watch) creates a security key inside its chip; the key never leaves the device. Apple checks the app and certifies that key, under Apple’s privacy policy. The app then sends us that certificate, the key’s identifier and a one-time code our server gave it. If it is valid, our server returns a pass that lasts 7 days, and the app attaches it to each request and renews it with a signature from the same key. None of this contains your name, Apple Account, phone number or a device identifier: the key is random, is created by the app and changes if you reinstall it. Our server does not store the key or the pass; it only keeps daily totals of passes issued and failed checks, without identifiers, for 30 days.
- No logs of who you are. Our server does not keep access logs or IP addresses. Your IP address is used only for a moment, in memory, to protect the service from abuse.
- EMT Madrid does not see you. Our server asks EMT Madrid for the times on your behalf; your device never contacts EMT. Bus data: Powered by EMT de Madrid (MobilityLabs).
- EMT service alerts (diversions, works) come with the arrival times; nothing extra is sent.
- Notifications (“tell me when the bus is 5 minutes away”) are created on your iPhone.
- Siri and Shortcuts requests are handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy.
- Transbordo Ad-Free is an optional yearly subscription sold by Apple. Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details. Your iPhone checks the subscription with Apple directly, not through our server. The date you first opened the app (for the 14 days) and whether you have already seen the notice about ads are kept on your iPhone and in your own iCloud.
- Advertising. For the first 14 days there are no ads. After that, Transbordo stays free and complete with a small banner at the end of lists, unless you subscribe to Transbordo Ad-Free. Ads are never shown on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island, in widgets, on Apple Watch or with Siri. The advertising partner, and the data it uses, will be named on this page before any ad appears.
- No analytics. We do not use analytics services, and we do not sell your data.
- If you choose to share crash reports and usage data with app developers in your device settings, Apple sends us anonymous crash reports.
Hercio
Hercio plays live radio stations from around the world.
- No account, no sign-up. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
- No location. Hercio never asks for your location. It works out your country from your App Store country, or you can choose it in Settings.
- Your favourites and settings stay with you. Your favourite stations, recently played stations, colour and country are kept on your iPhone. Your favourites, and the date you first opened the app (used for the 14-day period) and whether you have already seen the notice about ads, are also kept in your own iCloud so they are the same on all your devices. We cannot see them.
- The station list comes from our server. At most twice a day the app downloads the latest list of stations from hercio.simpleapps.es. The request carries nothing about you. For each download our server only notes the time, the address requested and the result, with no IP address or other details about you, so we can count downloads per day.
- The sound comes straight from each station. When you play a station, your device connects directly to that station’s own server (and each station’s logo is loaded from the website where it is published, such as the station’s own site or Wikimedia Commons), which sees your IP address as with any radio player. Each station applies its own privacy policy.
- Hercio Ad-Free is an optional yearly subscription sold by Apple. Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details. Your iPhone checks the subscription with Apple directly, not through our server.
- Siri requests (“play this station”) are handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. CarPlay shows the same app on your car’s screen; nothing extra is sent.
- Advertising. For the first 14 days there are no ads. After that, Hercio stays free and complete with a small banner at the end of lists, unless you subscribe to Hercio Ad-Free. Ads are never shown in the player, in CarPlay, on the Lock Screen or with Siri. The advertising partner, and the data it uses, will be named on this page before any ad appears.
- No analytics. We do not use analytics services, and we do not sell your data.
- If you choose to share crash reports and usage data with app developers in your device settings, Apple sends us anonymous crash reports.
Octano
Octano shows the prices of every petrol station in Spain and finds the best place to refuel on your trips.
- No account, no sign-up. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
- Your location stays on your iPhone. If you allow it, Octano uses your location on your device to show nearby stations. It is not sent to our server. Place searches and routes are handled by Apple Maps: when you plan a trip, your iPhone asks it for the route and for the extra time to each station, under Apple’s privacy policy. During a trip you have started, Octano keeps using your location (with the blue indicator in the status bar) only to show the next recommended stop on your Lock Screen, and stops when the trip ends.
- Prices come from our server. Your iPhone downloads the price files from octano.simpleapps.es. The requests carry nothing about you, and our server keeps no access logs. If our server is not available, your iPhone may download the prices directly from the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition, which sees your IP address as with any website.
- Your settings stay with you. Your favourite stations, vehicles, discounts, price alerts, fill-ups, the date you first opened the app (used for the 14-day period) and whether you have seen the notice about ads are kept on your iPhone and in your own iCloud, so they are the same on all your devices. We cannot see them.
- Receipt photos are never stored. If you read a fuel receipt from a photo, the text is read on your iPhone (on iPhones with Apple Intelligence, also with Apple’s on-device model); the photo is not saved or sent anywhere.
- Price alerts are checked on your iPhone and shown as notifications from your device.
- Directions. When you tap “Directions” or “Go to stop”, the station’s position is passed to the navigation app you chose (Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze), which applies its own privacy policy.
- Octano Ad-Free is an optional yearly subscription sold by Apple. Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details. Your iPhone checks the subscription with Apple directly.
- Siri, widgets and Live Activities use the same data that is already on your iPhone; Siri requests are handled by Apple.
- Advertising. For the first 14 days there are no ads. After that, Octano stays free and complete with a small banner at the end of lists, unless you subscribe to Octano Ad-Free. Ads are never shown on a station’s page, in widgets, in alerts, with Siri, on the Lock Screen or in CarPlay. The advertising partner, and the data it uses, will be named on this page before any ad appears.
- No analytics. We do not use analytics services, and we do not sell your data.
- If you choose to share crash reports and usage data with app developers in your device settings, Apple sends us anonymous crash reports.
Fuel prices: Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (Government of Spain), reused under Spanish open data law. Octano is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Ministry.
Our servers are hosted by OVHcloud in France (European Union).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us for access to, correction or deletion of your data, or object to its use, by writing to support@simpleapps.es. Because we do not hold data that identifies you, there is usually nothing to hand over or delete. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
Our apps are not directed at children under 14.
Datos: Powered by EMT de Madrid (MobilityLabs).
Nosotros no podemos verlos.
